“In my early childhood I was introduced to Christ but lost touch with the Lord for a number of years until my moms longtime friend at the gym invited her to church. Growing up my mom was never interested in church, or faith, but for some reason she felt moved to accept the invitation and brought me along. I was shocked we were going but the day was life-changing. I can’t recall what the pastor taught, but I distinctly remember a strong sense that we had to keep coming back. From that day my family made a behavioral change to welcome the Lord into our lives and hearts. If it weren’t for the boldness of that friend at the gym extending an invitation, I’m not sure where I’d be with the Lord. Inviting a non-believer church can feel like an unnatural thing to do, but my story demonstrates you truly have no clue who will respond and how God may use an invitation to welcome Someone into his family.”
