“At age 18, I was in a relationship with my partner at that time. I thought it would work out, but it did not, and it was a three year relationship that ended with betrayal by my partner. At my lowest time point, when I was alone and afraid, God drew me to Himself. One sunny day I woke up, and I felt urged to ask God to take away all these sorrows and pains. Then, my friend Matt called me. I still remember our four hour conversation, where I continuously ask him about the Gospel, and how to pray to God. As we closed our conversation with a prayer, I knew what I needed to do, continue praying to God and commit to living for God. Since knowing Him, God showed me that being a “Christian” isn’t about just doing good works. He has given me fulfillment and purpose in life. I am not perfect, and there is still time to turn away, but he always draws me closer back to Him. God promises to satisfy our deepest needs. “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” (Psalm 34:8); and “If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself” (John 7:17). As I continue to follow him, every day is a new day because of His love.”
